Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Fortune Black and White Cat

Label Story

“Wealth” and “fortune” are always the most desirable things for Chinese people.  In Japan, the emergence of fortune cat is in the late 18th century, since the country is deep influenced by Chinese culture.  Fortune cat is the representation of these two elements, the left paw indicates the fortune is around you and you are being blessed; right paw is welcoming many customers.  Raising both paws is all the store owners favorite, because it brings both fortune and customers.  The first independent bottling brand in Greater China, Or Sileis, launches this appealing collection just before the Chinese New Year.  This collection is finely selected by Julie Lee, the queen of whisky, making sure each single cask whisky 100% corresponds to the symbolic meaning of fortune and wealth, which is to wish each one of you to have a great 2019 !

Julie Lee received the honor of The Keeper of the Quaich in 2013, and she is the first female Keeper in Greater China.  She is the regular judge of all the major whisky competitions worldwide, and she visits all the distilleries in Scotland, and builds solid relationships with them.  Each kind of spirit is finely selected and approved by herself, and will have the trademark of J certificate, which stands for the guarantee of quality and taste.

Distillery Introduction

Highland Park is located on Orkney Islands, which is in the northeast of Scotland, and it is the most north distillery in the world.  There are more than 70 islands in Orkney Islands, however, only 17 of them have inhabitants.  The shape of Highland Park still is onion, with wide shoulders and swan-like neck.  The shape of still is very crucial during the process of distillation.  It helps to generate the ester with fruit flavor, and maintain the scent of heather and smoky peatiness.  The sweetness of ester and smokiness of peat delivers the perfect palate of whisky.
