【NO.8 – Sir Pelleas and the Lady Ettard】
About King Arthur Series
King Arthur single cask collection is the first independent bottler in Greater China, PICT, self-owned brand, Or Sileis, single cask selection. It’s finely selected by Julie Lee, the judge of London area of IWSC. There are 12 casks in total in the whole collection, and planned to complete the selection within 2 years. The volume of each cask is varied, and each of them is cherry on top.
Or Sileis art director, Paul Houlders, has worked for the biggest on line game company, Electronic Arts. One of his famous works is “Battlefield 1”. With his great creativity, the label artwork of King Arthur collection will have more whisky lovers collect each cask.
Label Story
Palleas was knighted by King Arthur as one of the knights of the round table when he was very young. As a young man with great achievement, Palleas is madly in love with a young girl named Ettard instead. However, Ettard only sees the knighthood of Palleas, and uses him to gain a golden ring which is the award of a competition which Palleas did for Ettard. Ettard continues to ask other knights to fight Palleas, but he defeats them all. The reason why he fights so hard is to be closer to the love of his life, Ettard. King Arthur’s niece, Gawain sees Palleas is in great pain because of unable to win Ettard’s love. He tries to convince Ettard and hope she will love Palleas back. However, Gawain lies to Ettard and says to her that he has killed Palleas already and betrays Palleas. Gawain now is with Ettard. When Palleas discovers them on the bed, he places his sword on their chests to show that he is alive and well. It glorifies the pride of knights as well, because he is not willing to kill Gawan who is a knight as well while he is sleeping.
Distillery Introduction
Glen Moray: The distillery is located on the bank of River Lossie in Elgin, the capital of Speyside. Glen Moray was a beer brewery originally, and produce the very first batch of whisky on the 13th of September 1897. In addition, it released a single malt whisky which was distilled in 1883 in 1924. It was very bold and rare in that era which single malt whisky was not mainstream. The distillery underwent an expansion in 1950s in order to increase production. Today, Glen Moray still maintain the attitude of focusing on creating classic Speyside single malt whisky.

【Tasting Note】
- Color: Light Gold
- Nose: Aroma of cream in the beginning, and develops into a rich old-fashioned fruitcake.
- Palate: Slightly stinging milk candies, the freshness of pine wood brings a hint of herbs and a little bit spices.
- Finish: Light peppermint and the extension of spices, it’s mellow and smooth.
