Label Story

The morning of the February 5th, 1941, the freighter “Politician” departed from Liverpool was heading to north and passing by Outer Herbrides, and the destination is Kingston, Jamaica, and New Orleans.  When it reached to Isle of Man, the captain was forced to change the direction due to the bad weather.  And the strong wind made the freight out of track, it was too late when they saw the land in the morning, and they ended up stranding Eriskay Island.

Distillery Introduction

Imperial is a misfortune distillery of Scotland whisky industry.  It is not a member of well-known distillery with a long history, and did not catch the trend of single malt whisky.  It ended up being a supplier of other blended whisky brands.  Although its whisky has a mellow palate, floral smell and, and a taste of American soda cream, and has a group of followers, it was closed in 2013.
